       于署长积极评价了中美关系，并简要介绍了中美海关及中国海关与美国其它部门的合作情况。于署长对加强中美海关合作提出3点建议：一是海关合作应该在促进中美经济发展和促进世界经济复苏中发挥更积极的作用；二是中美海关合作应该成为世界海关合作的典范；三是应该充分发挥使馆桥梁作用，促进中美海关合作。
        骆大使对中国海关促进通关便利、保障贸易安全、积极为企业服务表示了赞赏，并认同中美海关应进一步加强合作，为健康有序的中美贸易发展做出新的贡献。
