麦肯锡咨询公司针对欧美成衣企业的采购总监以及孟加拉成衣供应商进行访问，做出研究报告《孟加拉成衣——成长的挑战》，认为孟加拉具备潜力成为下一个热门的成衣采购地点，可以预见未来10年孟加拉成衣出口将增长3倍。
编辑点评：在此次调查中，受访者中有86%表示会将采购重心移往中国大陆以外地区，孟加拉将成为这波转变中的受益者。价格吸引力是首要，孟加拉最大优势在于其劳动力价格低廉，有报道称孟加拉最低工资标准为1700卢比（约218元人民币），和印度的最低工资标准5000卢比（约640元人民币）相比，仍有很大优势，难怪连印度企业都在加大对孟加拉服装业的投资。不过，孟加拉在基础建设、供应商表现以及劳力供应等方面还有不足，而中国服装企业强化自身优势成为制胜关键。
